Led by owners Andy Cook and Jeff Blackford, The Eisen Group has built a respected reputation for representing high-performance architectural products and delivering value to architects, glaziers, contractors, and owners alike. Their hands-on leadership, long-standing industry presence, and commitment to service make them a powerful addition to Tecfire’s expanding representative network.
Andy Cook – Owner
Andy Cook
Andrew Cook is a 1995 graduate of Michigan State University and brings nearly three decades of experience spanning sales, manufacturing, and architectural glazing systems. Early in his career, Andy worked in Cincinnati, Ohio, in sales for a lumber supplier serving the residential construction industry. He later returned to Michigan, where he became Co-Owner of a retractable screen company specializing in motorized screens and glass folding wall systems.
In 2008, Andy transitioned fully into the glass and glazing industry, where his expertise in architectural fenestration products became instrumental in launching the glazing division of The Eisen Group. In 2010, Andy partnered with Jeff Blackford as co-owner of the firm and now oversees and manages all product lines within the glass and glazing division.
Andy resides in Okemos, Michigan, with his wife of 32 years, Jennifer. They have three children and a grandson. Outside of work, Andy enjoys time with his family at their lakefront cottage in Cadillac, Michigan—often boating, attending concerts, and exploring Northern Michigan’s microbreweries—as well as traveling to warmer destinations for quick getaways.
Jeff Blackford – Owner
Jeff Blackford
Jeff Blackford is a 1992 graduate of Indiana University and grew up in Noblesville, Indiana. Shortly after marrying his wife, Cathy, in 1994, Jeff relocated to North Carolina, where he began his career in the door and hardware industry working for a manufacturer’s representative agency.
In 1998, Jeff was recruited by the owner of The Eisen Group and moved to West Michigan, serving as an Outside Sales Representative. He and Cathy settled in Rockford, Michigan, where they raised their two children. In 2005, Jeff accepted a leadership role as General Sales Manager for Ingersoll Rand’s Commercial Security Sector, prompting a move to Brighton, Michigan.
As The Eisen Group’s founder prepared for retirement, Jeff was once again approached to help lead the company forward. In 2009, Jeff became owner of The Eisen Group, guiding it into its next chapter of growth. In 2010, alongside his partner Andy, Jeff expanded the firm beyond doors and hardware with the strategic addition of a glass and glazing division.
Jeff remains highly engaged in the industry and is an active member of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), Detroit Chapter; the Door and Hardware Institute; and the Michigan School Business Officials, where he serves as a Vendor Board Member. He resides on the chain of lakes in Pinckney, Michigan, and enjoys boating, golfing, and traveling with his wife, Cathy, of 31 years.
