Tecfire Equips the MADRING Pit Lane Building with 228 Alufire AS85 Fire-Rated Systems

Madrid, Spain — Tecfire has completed its contribution to the MADRING Formula 1 Madrid Circuit, equipping the Pit Lane Building with 228 Alufire AS85 fire-rated glazed systems designed to combine fire protection with the transparency and architectural quality required for a high-profile motorsport facility.
The project scope comprised 208 Alufire AS85 fixed partitions, specified in E30 and EI120 configurations, together with 20 Alufire AS85 EI30 double hinged doors.
Fire-rated aluminum systems for a demanding building environment
The Alufire AS85 series uses fire-rated glazing within aluminum profiles, providing architects and contractors with a solution that integrates fire compartmentation requirements into contemporary glazed interiors.
For the MADRING Pit Lane Building, the different fire-resistance classifications allow the glazing systems to respond to the protection requirements of specific areas while maintaining visual continuity throughout the architecture.
The installed systems provide:
-
- EI30 and EI120 fixed glazed partitions
- EI30 double hinged glazed doors
- Aluminum-framed construction
- Fire-rated separation with a transparent architectural appearance
- A coordinated system approach for doors and fixed glazing
The EI classification addresses both integrity and insulation, supporting compartmentation by limiting the passage of flames and hot gases while reducing heat transfer through the protected assembly for the specified period.
Fire protection integrated into a landmark Formula 1 project
The MADRING project demonstrates how passive fire protection can be incorporated into complex public architecture without introducing unnecessarily heavy or visually intrusive construction.
By equipping the Pit Lane Building with 208 fixed partitions and 20 double doors from the same Alufire AS85 platform, Tecfire provides a consistent fire-rated glazing solution across multiple building applications.
228 Alufire AS85 systems. One landmark project where fire safety, transparency and architectural integration work together.
