TECFIRE MEA Showcases Fire-Rated Glazing Innovation at JIDAR – World of Facades 2026 Damascus, Syria | June 2026

TECFIRE MEA proudly participated as a Golden Sponsor at JIDAR – World of Facades 2026, Syria’s premier conference dedicated to façade engineering, architectural innovation, and building design technologies. Held on 15 June at the Sheraton Damascus Hotel, the event brought together leading architects, facade consultants, developers, engineers, and industry professionals to explore the future of facade design and sustainable construction.

The conference was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Local Administration and Environment, and attended by H.E. the Minister of Tourism, along with representatives from the Ministry of Local Administration and Environment and the Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management, highlighting the importance of advancing building safety and sustainable urban development.

As a recognized leader in advanced fire-rated glazing systems, TECFIRE MEA demonstrated its continued commitment to improving building safety while supporting modern architectural design. The conference provided an excellent platform to engage with industry experts, exchange technical knowledge, and showcase the company’s latest passive fire protection solutions.

A key highlight of the event was the technical presentation delivered by Dr. Amir Abdullatif, Managing Director – TECFIRE MEA on “Integration of Fire-Rated Glazed Systems into Building Fire Life Safety Strategy.”

The presentation emphasized the critical role that fire-rated glazing systems play in comprehensive building fire safety strategies, illustrating how properly engineered fire-rated façades, partitions, doors, and curtain wall systems contribute to occupant protection while preserving architectural vision. Attendees also gained valuable insights into current international fire safety standards, design considerations, and best practices for integrating passive fire protection into contemporary building projects.

In addition to his presentation, Dr. Amir Abdullatif participated in a panel discussion that explored the concept of the Fire Life Safety Strategy in buildings, its alignment with international engineering codes and standards, and the governance frameworks that ensure its proper implementation.

Throughout the conference, TECFIRE MEA team engaged with architects, consultants, developers, and project stakeholders, discussing the growing importance of balancing design flexibility with increasingly stringent fire safety requirements. These conversations reinforced the industry’s collective commitment to delivering safer, smarter, and more sustainable buildings across the region.

“Our participation at JIDAR reflects TECFIRE MEA’s commitment to sharing knowledge, supporting the architectural community, and advancing fire safety across the Middle East,” said Dr. Amir Abdullatif. “As buildings become more ambitious in design, integrating certified fire-rated glazing solutions from the earliest stages of project planning is essential for creating resilient and future-ready developments.”

TECFIRE Group extends its sincere appreciation to the organizers of JIDAR – World of Facades for hosting a successful platform that promotes innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence within the façade industry.
