By means of sophisticated glazing methods new possibilities take shape with ‘flush glazing’. This product combines an aesthetically appealing and minimalistic appearance with the highest standards of performance.
Performance Buttjoint is a fire resistant glass which consists of two or more sheets of toughened safety glass. The cavity between the sheets of glass is filled with a transparent intumescent gel interlayer which reacts when exposed to fire. The protective interlayer is based on nanotechnology and is UV stable. It also offers high light transmission. In addition to its fire protection properties Buttjoint also meets the demands of use of ‘break safe materials’ and offers optimum safety in escape routes and busy areas. The opaque insulating interlayer blocks the view of the fire, which minimizes panic and acts as a guide for emergency services to indicate the presence of fire.

Opera House Project has a been a new challenge for Tecfire as the fire rated glazing systems required by the architect Janus Rostock were something very innovative and unique, and the deadline to finish the works was very short, too. Despite this, Tecfire’s Alufire AS85 Aluminium EI60 door systems and Fixed Partitions systems (with a special ceramic frit pattern & with 73Db sound reduction) have fulfilled its mission to design, fabricate and install them perfectly on time, succeeding our client’s (CPD London) expectation.

The refurbishment project of the Castellana 77 building belongs to the Gmp Property SOCIMI S.A. business group, and Acciona Infraestructuras S.A. is the construction company entrusted with carrying out refurbishment. After a long tender process by Acciona, Tecfire was awarded the contract, beating 6 other companies, for the manufacture, supply and installation of fire-resistant glass systems with 316 stainless steel frames and with fire resistance classifications EI30 and EI120.
For this project, Tecfire manufactured and installed a swing door system with EI30-C5 classification and 316 stainless steel finish, as well as a fixed-partition system with fire resistance classification EI120. The fire-resistant safety glass is tempered and has CE Marking.
For the owners of the building, a non-negotiable condition was that the quality of the product to be installed should have extremely high performances, this being one of the main reasons why Tecfire was finally awarded the contract for this prestigious project, located in the centre of the Spanish capital.
