An interior fire improvement project for the headquarters of our client in the field of storage, forwarding, chartering and other related logistics services located within Oman’s Sohar Port Terminal. As part of the improvement in their facilities, our client made sure that all areas required fire protection structures are met using Tecfire’s complete fire-rated glass systems.
The products used for this project are glass systems in the SteelFire Series consisting of S50/70 fire-rated glass doors and fixed partitions systems.
The S50/70 is a range of non-thermal broken fire-rated glass systems with galvanized or stainless steel frames. The minimized profile guarantees great aesthetic results. These systems are tested and certified to comply with international standards. This range of systems offers various finishes such as powder coated and stainless steel polishes or brushed and the designs are adaptable to each project.
The latest project will be requiring fire-rated glass doors in stainless steel finish and Tecfire will be providing it’s SteelFire STB80 EI60 fire-rated glass door system. This glass system is tested and certified according to EN-1634-1 (European Standard) and NFPA252 (American Standard) for EI (Integrity & Insulation) for up to 60 minutes.
The SteelFire series is a range of products that can provide a variety of applications: Doors, Partitions, Skylights, Walkable Skylights, Curtain Walls, and Windows. Each product in this series is made of steel profile, fireproof material and the glazed area with several layers of tempered glass with intermediate intumescent material, tested and certified as a whole.

Tecfire Steel Walkable Skylight is one of the features of the restaurant as part of its aesthetic design to showcase interior work. With the glass floor design, the below area can be seen and vice-versa. The STB80 Walkable Skylight System is fire-rated, a must for a busy place to ensure that the safety of the customers, staff, and equipment of the business is protected.
SteelFire STB80 REI120 Fire-rated Walkable Skylight System is tested and certified according to EN-1365-2 for REI fire classification (Integrity, Insulation & mechanical resistance) for 120 minutes. The profile makes up of the system is composed of galvanized structural tubes, steel pressure plates, and aluminum cover cap. The fire-rated infill material is included to act as insulation for the system. The load-bearing glass ensures stability and non-breakage in the event of a fire.
The fire-rated glass systems being installed are from Tecfire’s Alufire Series that includes fire-rated glass doors, glass partitions and glass windows systems. All tested in European Standard for the fire rating of (Integrity and Insulation) EI120, EI90, and EI60 as well as fire rating of (Integrity and Radiation Control) EW90.

The project is in collaboration with Khalil Projects Development Intl, a specialized fabricator, designer, and manufacturer of all kinds of Aluminium, PVC, & Glass Joinery Products located at Barka, Muscat, and in Sultanate of Oman.
Tecfire recently completed the installation of the required fire-rated glass systems in various areas in this soon to opened medical city. The products used are the Alufire fire-rated glass systems series consisting of fire-rated glass doors, partitions and windows, installed in all areas that requires fire-safety systems to ensure protection to the healthcare facility’s staff and most importantly it’s patients.

Burjeel Medical Center comprises of 300 bed Hospital, Long-term Care Facility, Long-term Care Villas, an Administrative Building and a Mosque.
Tecfire’s scope of work in the project is to design, manufacture and install the required fire-rated glass systems with Aluminum profiles. The AS85 Double Action Pivot Glass Door System is tested as per European Standard for EI classification (complete thermal insulation) up to 60 minutes. Tecfire, in collaboration with Kinnarps Project Solution LLC, will make sure that the fire protection planning for the client Veloqx will be achieved in accordance with the required aesthetic specifications and the required fire rating capabilities to ensure the project’s success.
The AS85 Double Action Pivot Door System is one of Tecfire’s Special Custom-Made Glass systems that has an innovative design and quality material that provides aesthetic features by eliminating the hinges and concealing overhead closers for a flawless look. Most importantly, it is specifically designed to provide a double-action opening (180°). This product has the slimmest profile in the market and is available in various finishes.
